Once you’ve booked your shoot, we will arrange a call to say hello and find out little more about you and your pet. We will then agree a date for the shoot as well as a backup date in case the weather is awful. I will also send you more information regarding your shoot so that you feel totally prepared!

I am based in Portsmouth so anything within a 25-mile radius will be travel cost free. If you live further away than that, please do get in touch, I'm always happy to travel, I add a 45p per mile to cover my fuel. There will be no extra charge for travel time.
-
Before our photoshoot, I'll be checking the forecast regularly (I have 3 different apps). If the weather is going to be awful, then we'll switch to our backup date. That's what it is there for. If the weather is still awful on the day of the backup date, then we'll chat and arrange another day, it’s not a problem! These are the images that you'll be looking at for a very long time and the light is so important that it's worth just waiting until the weather conditions are right. The booking fees are transferrable with no additional charge.

Whether outdoor or indoor photoshoot, clothes that you feel comfortable in and that reflect your personality are the best. Try to avoid large patterns or big logos because they tend to dominate an image. If the whole family is going to be in the images, try to co-ordinate colours (if possible). If it's winter; boots always make for a great image, in summer, long floaty dresses look gorgeous and denim seems to always look beautiful on camera so you can’t go wrong there! I will send you a Style Guide once you book your session and I am happy to discuss outfits in detail before the day.
-
Absolutely. These photographs are all about you and your horse/dog. Always happy to talk clothes and the perfect outfits for your images.
-
These are your images; they are whatever you want them to be. Tell me what you'd like and if there’s something stopping you from being in the photographs, let's chat. But absolutely not, this is your time and the only thing that matters to me is that you enjoy it from beginning to end.
-
Absolutely, without question. That would be fantastic!
-
Of course! It is easier if the different location is close to home but if you need to trailer your horse just make sure they are happy travellers and won’t end up looking worried or stressed on arrival. Other than parking restrictions and private properties there are no limits as to where we can go – the beach, the woods, the meadows…
-
One I have finalized the editing, all the images will be put onto an online gallery and will be password protected. Turnaround time will vary depending on a number of factors (of which we can discuss during our consultation) but I aim to have them ready for you within 3 weeks of the shoot date.

A voucher is a truly lovely gift for the pet crazy people in your life. Whether it's for a Birthday, Christmas, Anniversary gift. Whatever the celebration, it's the giving of a gift that will last a lifetime. I have personalised gift vouchers that I can send out for you or to you and include further information for the gift receiver.
DOG SPECIFIC
-
I have worked with many dogs in my life and i’m a very good judge of character - capturing a pet’s unique quirks is what I do best! I will also get you to fill out a questionnaire before the shoot so you can tell me more about them; their likes and dislikes, favourite toy, funny anecdotes – all the things that make up who they are!
-
While basic commands like ‘sit’ and ‘stay’, are beneficial, the aim is to capture the true nature of your dog, so you’re much more likely to get great photographs if we allow them to act naturally. I would recommend brushing up on your sit/stay commands in the days leading up to your session though as that will give us more variety in the shots we take!
-
It really doesn't matter at all.
In our conversations before our photoshoots, we'll have discussed the sort of images you'd like and even a little bit about how we'll work together to create the images that you'd love.If you'd like a sitting portrait of your dog, I have my ways and it literally takes me a millisecond to click the shutter, that's how long your dog would need to be still for.
But if your dog isn't a "sit" on request dog, then maybe that's not the best photograph to take. Maybe we aim for full on fun and running and jumping. Whatever your dog's character; we'll capture that in the images. Because that's what makes him or her totally and utterly unique and totally and utterly yours.
-
Absolutely, and it's not an unusual as you may think. We just have to work around the lead (make sure it matches the colour scheme) or edit it out in post-production. Alternatively, we can use your home/garden as a safe space or go to an enclosed pen that are found in parks if your home isn’t possible.
-
Of course, the number of dogs may alter the shape of our photoshoot a little bit. Two or three will make no difference, but more than that may mean that we craft the images differently. It's a great question and if this is you, then definitely something for us to discuss at our initial consultation.
HORSE SPECIFIC
-
Whatever halter/bridle you'd like your horse to wear. We can do a mixture of both. You will have a little more control with a bridle so if your horse has a tendency to bolt, I’d suggest the bridle however this is totally up to you!
-
This is more common than you think but fear not, we can make it work! If you have a fidgety horse, it may be best if they are ridden/worked beforehand. Also, they can get bored too... sometimes all they need is to go for a short walk. We will do whatever it takes to make sure they are happy and relaxed, as are you!
