“There will never be the perfect time, you can only make time perfect.”

Clients book their photoshoots for all sorts of reasons - to celebrate a new horse, to commemorate a milestone or perhaps there is a big birthday coming up and they want to treat themselves to some gorgeous artwork.

Sadly, it may be time to say goodbye to a dear friend. Whatever the reason, I want to capture the love you have for your horse.

  • Time flies and we are often too busy to stop and enjoy the special moments in life; a stolen kiss, a cheeky grin, a look of wonder, the determination as your dog races in pursuit of his ball or the soft pads of their paws as you snuggle up on your sofa… Photography allows us to recall these moments, however brief, and freezes them in time to be remembered and cherished for years to come.

Every session is tailored to you and what you hope to achieve from your photoshoot experience. I will guide you through every step of the process, advising on what to wear (Styling Guide PDF included in shoot fees), where to go and what to expect.

Together we will find the very best spots at your chosen location, and I will ensure we find the most beautiful light for your photos. If you decide you would like to feature in some of the shots, I will help you figure out what to do with your hands (let’s face it, our hands are never awkward until someone is trying to take a photo, goodness knows why!) and other limbs so you can feel as comfortable and confident as possible.

    • I will send you an information pack as soon as you enquire about booking your pet shoot

    • We will chat a few times before the shoot (this can be over the phone, via text, Zoom, or even face-to-face, whichever is easiest!) to discuss options

    • I will ensure that I have found out what it is you would like from your shoot and together we will start planning your session

    • Planning the session will include: discussing possible locations, date & time of shoot, if you have a preference on season/time of year, I will also ask you more information about your pet

    • I will send you a detailed preparation pack – we can chat over the phone/Whatsapp to answer any questions you may have

    • The day before the shoot we will have a chat to answer any last-minute questions. We will also take a view on the weather in case there are any unexpected changes.

    • We’ll spend some time scouting the area for the best locations and assessing the light situation – this is also the fun part where we get to chat and spend some time with your pet to help them get comfortable around me.

    • We’ll have a plan but animals are unpredictable and sometimes we just have to go with the flow (or the horse/dog in this case!) Sometimes the most unexpected moments create the best photos!

    • We will take lots of breaks to ensure your horse/dog doesn’t get overwhelmed and also, to allow for any toilet breaks!

    • In my opinion, post-production work is as important as taking the photos themselves. I truly believe that editing your images is an integral part of the process and it makes such a difference! As much as I try to stick to a set turnaround time, some galleries take longer to curate and I want to make sure yours is perfect!

    • We will stay in touch throughout this process.

    • While I believe in natural photography and my editing style is also considered ‘light’, I work on each image individually and this may include the removal of unwanted objects and props such as leads, slobber, etc. all of which require time.

    • As soon as the gallery is ready, I will send you a link to an online gallery so that you can view your images in the comfort of your own home and select your favourites.

    • Depending on the package you have selected and the number of high-resolution images included in your package, I will then send you the files using WeTrasnfer and you will be able to instantly download your images.

    • If you have any questions regarding printing and framing, I am more than happy to help you with that, just let me know.
